The Film Society of Lincoln Center presents ELF

“One of those rare Christmas comedies that has a heart, a brain, and a wicked sense of humor, and it charms the socks right off the mantelpiece.” —Roger Ebert
“A charming, silly family Christmas movie!” —A. O. Scott, New York Times
“Will Ferrell is a hoot … witty holiday family entertainment.”
—David Ansen, Newsweek

“The best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear!” The Film Society invites you to enjoy this new holiday comedy classic on the big screen, along with free popcorn courtesy of indie food and wine!

Will Ferrell is hilariously sweet-natured as Buddy, a man raised by elves at the North Pole. Ever a fish out of water, Buddy decides to leave Santa’s workshop to find his real human father, who turns out to be a ruthless New York City book publisher (James Caan) who’s—gasp—on Santa’s naughty list. Mixing Ferrell’s slapstick brilliance with feel-good holiday warmth, Elf has already proven to be a December viewing perennial—and it’s even more fun to watch with an audience.
